Position Function:
Performs a variety of basic to complex office support and/or secretarial duties for the Air Force ROTC department, which require a range of skills and knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Salary Grade: 11

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages shared office calendar and appointments. Assists in updating Detachment website.
2. Greets and directs visitors, in person or over the phone; routes calls, answers questions (as
able), provides general information, and takes messages.
3. Establishes, maintains, and updates files related to administrative functions, university
scholarships, in-state tuition waivers, and student/staff rosters.
4. Performs miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned, such as cadet GPA updates,
maintaining email lists, assisting with Detachment alumni newsletter, and assisting with
university support requests (Information Technology Systems, Registrar, Financial office, etc).
5. Monitors foundation accounts and processes funding requests.
6. Manages staff meeting slides.
7. Processes university timecards, payroll, and leave statements.
8. Primary agent for scheduling department class times and room assignments; manages cadet schedule conflicts, override requests, and drop/adds.
9. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience: Two -four years directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
· Or: Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Banner
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook email and calendar management
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
· Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
· No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
· No or very limited physical effort required.
