Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Major responsibilities include leading the clinical pathology service, DVM teaching in clinical pathology, and residency training programs. This position is expected to participate collaboratively in applied research projects and to actively support DVM student research/scholarship. It is expected that this position will allocate approximately 65% time to clinical service activities and 35% time to teaching and teaching associated service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and in the use of clinical case material in continuing education and scholarly pursuits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a DVM or equivalent with completion of a clinical pathology residency and ACVP board certification in clinical pathology. Collegiality and excellent communication skills are required. The ability to attain licensure (faculty or traditional licensure) in Mississippi is required. The successful candidate will work directly with faculty, in-house clinicians, and referring veterinarians.
